Originally from the Atlanta area, double bassist and electric bassist Chris Riggenbach has been a professional musician for 20 years. Chris holds a bachelor’s degree and master's degree in jazz studies from Georgia State University.
For 10 years, Chris played in show bands and jazz trios on cruise ships around the world. His international performance experience includes a tour in Poland with trumpet player Josh Lawrence. In the U.S., Chris has performed with Wycliffe Gordon, Victor Goines, Gary Motley, Emory Jazz Faculty Quintet, Audrey Shakir, Ted Howe, Tempest Little Big Band, Marcus Lewis, Gavin Ahearn Trio, Kayla Taylor, 4th Ward Afro Klezmer Orchestra, Gold Sparkle Band, and many others.
Chris can be heard on recordings by Josh Lawrence, Gavin Ahearn Trio, 4th Ward Afro Klezmer Orchestra, and Gold Sparkle Band. Currently, Chris is an artist affiliate at Emory University where he teaches jazz bass and directs jazz combos.
Billy Gewin is a bassist/guitarist and recording engineer at his own recording studio. He currently plays with a nineteen-piece big band in Roswell, gigs with singer songwriters, cocktail jazz groups, and rock bands in the Atlanta area. He attended the Django in June jazz camp where he studied the gypsy jazz stylings of Django Reinhardt. He also plays bluegrass and pop music.
